Bruce R. Shaw, P.E., PMP
Bruce R. Shaw P.E., PMP has over forty years experience in engineering, project management, organizational management, and operations improvement. Bruce has been active in the Washington, D.C. chapter of PMI for twelve years, was Vice President of Finance for five years and President of the chapter for two years.
He has worked as an engineer, technical manager and project manager in the electronics, petrochemical, environmental and telecommunications industries and in both the public and private sectors for Exxon, Verizon, the State of New Jersey and others. He was most recently the manager of the Program Management Office for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in Arlington, Virginia. Now consulting, he teaches project and systems management courses.
He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and California and a certified Project Management Professional.
